Dzeko magic leads to Manchester City win

Edin Dzeko continued his fine form from last season on into this season, as he had an assist in Manchester City's 2-0 win over Newcastle today.

Dzeko, who earned the start alongside Stevan Jovetic, distributed the ball well all game, even adding a bit of flair when it came to his assist to David Silva.

With a relatively quiet game from both sides up until the 39th minute, it took a bit of Dzeko magic to break the deadlock. Edin controlled a signature Yaya Toure long ball before playing a nice back heel to David Silva, who slotted it away nicely, giving the away team the 1-0 lead.

Dzeko continued to have a fine game from that point on, before being subbed in the 83rd minute. For his efforts, Edin was also rewarded a player of the match award, which was undoubtedly well deserved.
