Dzeko returns from injury after 2 months

The Bosnian Diamond has finally returned to action after being sidelined for nearly 2 months due to a calf strain.

After playing only 4 minutes in the match against QPR in November, Edin Dzeko limped off the field in what many feared could be a serious injury.

Perhaps not as severe as people had thought, Dzeko was then diagnosed with a calf strain, for which he was expected to miss at least 4 weeks. And now, nearly two months after that diagnosis, the Manchester City striker finally made his much anticipated return against Arsenal.

Dzeko, who was subbed on in the 76th minute for Jesus Navas, was unable to save City from its' first loss since November 5th of last year. Dzeko was also very clearly rusty after sitting out so long, and will need a few more matches under his belt to regain his old form.

With Bosnia's next Euro qualifying match against Andorra coming in just over two months, the return of Dzeko will very much please the Bosnian faithful, after missing their last game against Israel. That game, which ended in an embarrassing loss for Bosnia, was no doubt impacted by Dzeko's absence in the end result.

Manchester City's next competitive match will be against Middlesborough in the FA Cup, as the Bosnian captain could no doubt see plenty of playing time in that game.
