Bosnia squeezes its' way past Great Britain

The Bosnian basketball team squeezed its' way past Great Britain 80 : 67 in the first game of the 2015 EuroBasket qualifiers, after leading by as many as 23 points in the 2nd half.

The first few minutes were marked by uncertainty, as shot clock troubles and tough defense by the host slowed down the tempo. However, our boys eventually found their rhythm, and by the end of the 1st quarter it was 23 : 11.

Bosnia was able to continue this rhythm into the 2nd quarter, as Mirza Teletovic and Nemanja Mitrovic couldn't miss from beyond the arc, and the first half ended with a score of 42 : 24 for Bosnia.

Bosnia came out with the same energy going into the 2nd half, as three minutes into it they extended their lead to 20 points. At this point it looked like we would cruise to victory, only to make things more difficult for us in the end.

Great Britain turned up their tempo in the 4th quarter, and they simply wouldn't miss. Six minutes until the end of the game, Bosnia's once enormous lead was down to only 8 points.

In the end, our team was able to gather themselves and finish off an all around solid game, being led by Teletovic's 25 points.

Bosnia will face 2nd placed Iceland in Tuzla on Sunday.
